The video series DEVS came out with a pilot episode just before Christmas and got an excellent reception. Now it’s time for the first real episode, where we visit Fingersoft, a game studio and a publisher that is world famous for their mobile game Hill Climb Racing.
The DEVS film crew traveled to the city of Oulu in Northern Finland and had a chat with Fingersoft game studio’s developers. The team even got to drive an off-road vehicle uphill! Check out what happened then. Did they crash the car just as in the game and did everybody survive the trip?
“Fingersoft is an absolutely awesome game company! Their story from a bedroom to success is incredible. We will return to that in more detail in our second episode. The company’s phenomenal popularity continues year after year, and their new games redeem their promise. The company’s reputation as a philanthropist has been growing inside the gaming industry thanks to their active participation. Fingersoft gives back to to the gaming community by sponsoring and helping new game developers”, commented DEVS concept creator Vesa Raudasoja.
During the next visit, we’ll look at game development from a slightly different point of view when we visit the Umbra studio from Helsinki. The company has never made a single game, but still their technology has been used in many blockbuster games like Call of Duty, Destiny, Quantum Break and The Witcher.
